El Patrón Casa dehuespedes was established to honor the memory of the owner’s father and to pay tribute to the *Majoreros*—the people of Fuerteventura—who had to leave their villages and families to take up the hard life of the sea. Through small artifacts from a bygone era, the guesthouse seeks to illustrate the challenges faced by locals who lived with isolation and emigration, ultimately shaping the Fuerteventura of today—a place whose heritage we, as descendants, take pride in sharing with visitors and guests, whom we have always delighted in welcoming and inviting to experience a legacy that transcends the material.The guesthouse is the result of the renovation and subsequent expansion of an old warehouse—a place where the owners would return every summer to enjoy the village and the memories that endure to this day. It is a place where, sitting on the floor, the owner recalls endless lunches featuring mussels, limpets, sea snails, *jareas* (sun-dried fish), and *pejines* (small dried fish)...
